Clinton takes the cake

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton exposed the hypocrisy of the United States when she criticized the Brazilian leader for brokering a nuclear fuel swap deal with Iran.
This hypocrisy was laid bare for all to see when Brazil revealed the text of a letter dated April 20 showing that U.S. President Barack Obama had personally asked Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to convince Iran to agree to a nuclear fuel exchange first proposed in November 2009.In part of his letter to Lula, Obama says, “I agree with you that the TRR (the Tehran Research Reactor) is an opportunity to pave the way for a broader dialogue… From the beginning, I have viewed Iran’s request as a clear and tangible opportunity to begin to build mutual trust and confidence, and thereby create time and space for a constructive diplomatic process.”
The United States’ illogical and hypocritical moves in regard to Iran’s nuclear program are even irritating its old allies like Turkey and Brazil.
And it is not just Brazil and Turkey that are upset.
The entire world is surprised about the United States’ insincere approach toward Iran’s nuclear program.
In the duplicitous anti-Iran campaign, Clinton takes the cake compared to other U.S. officials due to her crass rhetoric.
The chief diplomats of countries are usually sophisticated people, but Clinton seems to lack that quality.
Her crude attacks on Lula show that she is a deceitful person who is not as shrewd as her peers.
Clearly, her political acumen was overrated, and the pundits who built up her reputation now have egg on their faces.
Clinton said, “Certainly, we have very serious disagreements with Brazil’s diplomacy vis-a-vis Iran.”
How can Clinton and the U.S. government convince the world that what was agreed in Tehran on May 17 was not a serious confidence-building measure by Iran which opened a window for diplomacy, which is exactly what Obama constantly claimed he wanted?
